EFFDEE ART (Fiona Doyle)

Effdee (EFFDEE = FD) is a 21 year old self taught artist from Boston Massachusetts. FD grew up on the outskirts of Boston in a small town called Melrose. FD later moved to the New England seacoast , in a town called Salisbury (which borders NH). FD shortly attended different colleges majoring in art with a minor in history. “School wasn't where I learned how to make art, it's always been a part of my life from the start.” FD states. FD had an unexpected tragedy in her life when she was 18. On March 21st of 2021, FDs father sadly passed away. FD and her father had a very close relationship. They shared common interests, laughed together , and went everywhere together. “He was my best friend, and there will never be another who comes close.” FD states. His departure from this world became the motivation for a transformation in her work. “I had two options, I could keep doing art and try to make an impact somehow. Or, I can give up. Giving up was never an option for me.” FD claims. FDs work has changed in many ways throughout the years. From painting animals, beautiful scenery, to works that hit home right in the heart. The abstract expressionism that FD carefully portrays in her work reflects the rollercoaster of emotions every human experiences on a weekly basis. “Nobody ever understood Van Gogh, Pollock, or even Rothko. The fact that these masterminds were so misunderstood made me even more invested in art as a whole.” FD claims. Through many hardships FD found beauty in strength, And from the depths of her heart, she is beyond thankful of where she stands today. “Each day, I'm reminded of all the blessings around me. My heart really does overflow with appreciation for the journey, the lessons, and the unwavering support that brought me here. I'm just happy I can make others feel less alone in this world.”
